The Aladdin Society was established in 2011, shortly after the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse became an independent 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit Organization. The Aladdin Society was named in honor of the original name of the Playhouse: The Aladdin Theatre.
The Aladdin Society brings those together who believe in the mission of the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse and who want to be an integral part of its continued success. The members are our “Good News Ambassadors” throughout the community.
The Aladdin Society is involved in the following areas on behalf of the Playhouse:
Community / Playhouse Awareness
- All members receive a quarterly email newsletter of the current “inside” news from the Playhouse. This enables the members to receive first hand news and gives them the ability to share the news with others in the community.
- Members receive notification of upcoming events and invitations as soon as scheduled
- Each members’ name will be recognized throughout the year on the Playhouse’s website, in the season’s program and in other venues when at all possible.
- Members are given an Aladdin Lamp pin to proudly wear and when asked, share the news then have received from the Playhouse.
Sustainability
- Each member makes a tax-deductible $100 ($150 per married couple) contribution annually that assists in the operation of the Playhouse and the success of the Society.
- Each member will be eligible to receive special VIP invitations to events throughout the year often with a member discount.
- As Studio 302 becomes a reality, the Aladdin Society Members will have a place to congregate before a performance, have a drink and see friends.
