Into The Woods

Book by James Lapine
Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim

The classic Broadway musical INTO THE WOODS, brings a sophisticated twist to some of the classic Grimm fairy tales that we all know and love. Writer James Lapine and songwriter Stephen Sondheim give us an entirely new look at the lives of Cinderella, Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (of Beanstalk fame), The Witch and a couple new characters in the Baker and his wife. Act 1 takes our characters on a quest to obtain their hearts desires while Act 2 brilliantly examines life after “happily ever after” and the consequences of our actions. A luscious score of unforgettable songs, some funny and some poignant, will leave you with a new understanding of the importance of the stories we leave behind and that no matter how hopeless things may seem at times, truly no one is alone.

INTO THE WOODS is presented through special arrangements with Music Theatre International (MTI)
