Reunion on Gallows Hill
A Play Of Diabolical Possession
By Tim Kelly
Six girls decide to spend the night in an old barn on the slopes of Gallows Hill in Salem, Massachusetts, the site where nineteen condemned ’witches’ were hanged in the Seventeenth Century. One of the girls, Nancy, is a direct descendant of the judge who ordered the executions. Things start out as a lark, but when the spirits of the witches rise from the swirling mist things take a bizarre turn. To wreak their long-delayed revenge, the witches enter the bodies of the unsuspecting girls and possess them. A reenactment of a witch trial then proceeds. Only Nancy understands that something is violently, frighteningly, wrong.
