Giving Tuesday

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. On #GivingTuesday, millions of people come together to support and champion the causes they believe in by donating and fundraising on their behalf. Please consider a donation to The Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse (CVP) as part of your #GivingTuesday commitment. Once again, this year the Playhouse (@HistoricCVP) will be directing any GivingTuesday donations to our STARS of Tomorrow Youth Program. 

This year #GivingTuesday falls on November 27th. In celebration, Facebook and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation are partnering once again on a national campaign to support nonprofits.

On #GivingTuesday, In support of #GivingTuesday on November 27, 2018, Facebook is partnering with PayPal to match up to $7 million in donations made on Facebook to eligible US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits. Facebook does not charge fees for donations made to nonprofits on Facebook this #GivingTuesday.

Donations to nonprofits made through Facebook’s charitable giving tools on November 28th will be matched up to $250,000 per nonprofit, until the $7 million in matching funds run out. The match will begin at 8AM EST (5AM PST).

We are asking you to consider The Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse (CVP) this coming Tuesday, November 27th, for this #DayofGiving

Gifts of any size are always greatly appreciated. From $10 and up, there are giving options for any budget and no gift is too small. For as little as $25 you can receive program recognition as Friend of Theatre. For $275 you can “Sponsor-a-child” to participate for one year in our STARS of Tomorrow program. 

Our STARS of Tomorrow Youth Program is designed to help develop the skills necessary to be successful in the performing arts and also assist young performers in life management skills. The STARS meet weekly and present 5 productions per year. There is is $285 per year participation fee but no child or family is turned away for inability to pay. 

The Playhouse must raise $10,000 to provide the annual scholarships for children and families in need who wish to participate in our STARS program. Additionally, the Playhouse provides $2000 annually for higher education scholarships to graduating members of our STARS Youth Program, through the Jim Melia Memorial Youth Scholarship. 

Royalty fees alone exceed over $137,000 annually for our “Broadway on Brevard” Season Productions and over $8,000 annually for our STARS Youth series productions. This does not include production costs, such as costumes and sets, of which we produce ourselves.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit we rely on the generous support of our community to continue the legacy of this great theatre. Your tax deductible donations directly support our programming and youth education efforts.

STAR of Theatre: $50 up to $125 Gift. Includes recognition in the Season Program

“Sponsor-a-child” Star of Tomorrow Youth Program participation sponsorship: $285 This provides one year of participation fees for a child in our STARS of Tomorrow Youth Program. Includes recognition in the Season Program. If you would like to Sponsor a specific child or children please indicate in the comment section.

PROTO STAR: $125 Gift You will receive: One ADULT and One CHILD Ticket to each of the 3 June STARS Shows and the Holiday performance. Includes recognition in the Season Program, and Priority Seating for Productions. (based on availability) 

DIRECTOR: $500 Gift You will receive: 2 Season Tickets to our Performing Arts series. Includes recognition in the Season Program, Priority Seating for Productions, and 2 Staci Award Voting Rights. (based on availability) 

PRODUCER: $1000 Gift You will receive: 3 Season Tickets to our Performing Arts series, 3 Staci Award Voting Rights** (1 per Season Ticket). Includes recognition in the Season Program, and Priority Seating for Productions. (based on availability) 

SILVER STAR: $1,500 Gift You will receive: 4 Season Tickets to our Performing Arts series, 4 Staci Award Voting Rights** (1 per Season Ticket), Includes recognition in the Season Program, and Priority Seating for Productions. (based on availability) 

GOLD STAR: $5,000 Gift You will receive: 6 Season Tickets to our Performing Arts series, 6 Staci Award Voting Rights** (1 per Season Ticket), Includes recognition in the Season Program, and Priority Seating for Productions. (based on availability) 

SUPER STAR: $10,000 Gift You will receive: 8 Season Tickets to our Performing Arts series, 8  Staci Award Voting Rights** (1 per Season Ticket), Includes recognition in the Season Program, and Priority Seating for Productions. (based on availability)
