Celebrate Christmas with Frank Capra’s beloved 1946 classic, starring James Stewart and Donna Reed, on the big screen in a historic theatre!
IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE
Wednesday, December 23, 2026
When the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse first opened its doors in 1924, it was originally a movie theatre known as the Aladdin Theatre. Through our Aladdin Film Series, we invite the Brevard County community to step back in time and rediscover the magic of watching classic films on the big screen in a historic setting.
This holiday season, experience one of the most beloved Christmas films of all time, It’s a Wonderful Life, just two days before Christmas! There's something truly special about gathering with family, friends, and neighbors to share a timeless story that celebrates the importance of love, kindness, and community.
Directed by Frank Capra, this 1946 American classic stars James Stewart as George Bailey, a man who, with the help of a guardian angel hoping to earn his wings, discovers just how profoundly his life has touched those around him. Beautifully filmed in black and white, It’s a Wonderful Life remains a heartwarming reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can make an extraordinary difference.
Join us as we celebrate the holiday season, the magic of cinema, and the joy of experiencing a timeless classic together!
