Celebration of Life for Jason Crase

Jason in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor DreamcoatOur Playhouse is still grieving over the passing of Jason Carl Crase, beloved son, brother, friend, teacher, artist, leader, musician, author, performer, and adventurer. Jason was many different things to many different people. He was always out to see what life had to teach him and how he could use his experiences to shape the world around him—whether it be onstage in a song or through a poem in a park on a sunny summer day. Jason shared his talents with our community at our theatre and was vital in forming the Playhouse as it stands today. He motivated generations of young performers who saw him onstage captivating audiences who fell more in love with him at each performance. He has such a rich history with our theatre that ranges from being a Director in our STARS of Tomorrow youth program while leading our shows, to coordinating events and sharing his love of our theatre and performing with our community.

Above all, Jason inspired hope and encouraged all of us to hold tight through whatever storm we might be enduring and cling to the hope of a brighter day ahead. Known as CVP’s “Joseph” he was a Gold Star performer for 8 years performing in every show and received the Hall of Fame award in 2018. Passing away at only 42 years of age, 28 years of his life was given to help create the theatre we love today.

Jason in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor DreamcoatWe hope you will join us and attend “A Celebration of Life” in loving memory of Jason on at our Playhouse. His family invites you to share your cherished memories of Jason at this celebration as they will have the microphone open for speaking.

The Jason Crase Memorial STARS of Tomorrow Scholarship is being established to assist children in need with STARS of Tomorrow annual tuition. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Jason Crase Memorial Scholarship fund of the Playhouse.
