Due to the uncertain climate surrounding the health and wellness of our community, we are operating on a day-to-day basis and all dates may be subject to change pending any government requirements based on COVID-19 safety measures. Currently, masks are greatly encouraged during the rehearsal process and backstage during performances. If there is a rise in COVID-19 cases, whether within the local community or company of this production, masks may be then required for all performers for the remainder of the rehearsal process and/or backstage during performances.

October 2nd & 3rd 6:30pm: 13 years and older

Doors open no earlier than 30 minutes prior to an audition

Performers interested in auditioning in person can fill out the in-person application and bring it completed to the audition.

SHOW DESCRIPTION

Based on J.M. Barrie's classic tale and featuring an unforgettable score Peter Pan is one of the most beloved and frequently performed family favorites of all time. Featuring the iconic songs, "I'm Flying," "I've Gotta Crow," "I Won't Grow Up" and "Never Never Land," and a rousing book full of magic, warmth and adventure, Peter Pan is the perfect show for the child in all of us... who dreamed of soaring high and never growing up. This high-flying Tony Award-winning musical has been performed around the world and delighted audiences for 60 years.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN

Regardless of age, performers interested in “child” or “teen” roles must be visually able to portray their respective ages. The Darling children must visually portray as Michael (youngest), John (middle), and Wendy (oldest).

Wendy Darling
The eldest Darling child. Wendy is compassionate, incredibly loving, and very protective of her younger brothers. She is the child every parent wishes they had.
Gender: Female Identifying 
Age: 13 to 17

John Darling
The middle Darling child. A sly smile is always at home on John's face. He has a mischievous twinkle in his eye and is always ready for an adventure.
Gender: Male Identifying 
Age: 11 to 15

Michael Darling
The youngest Darling child. Never far from his favorite Teddy, Michael is sweet and innocent. He is ever so lovable and very huggable.
Gender: Male Identifying
Age: 6 to 10

Mrs. Darling
The Darling matriarch. Mrs. Darling glides about gently but swiftly from task to task with motherly precision. She has a pleasant strength to her demeanor.
Gender: Female Identifying 
Age: 25 to 47

Mr. Darling
A bit of grouch, Mr. Darling is a professional who happens to be a father. Though sparkles of his love peak through from time to time, he often has places to go and people to see. He may be of imposing size.
Gender: Male Identifying 
Age: 30 to 55

Peter Pan
Childhood and boyishness personified, Peter is athletic and not shy about taking to flight when the moment suits him. His reflexes are catlike and his presence exhilarating. A creature of constant motion.
Gender: Any
Age: 14 to Young Adult

Captain Hook
The one-handed captain of the Jolly-Roger. Relentless and restless in his pursuit of Pan, Hook is short-fused and ridiculous. He is a larger-than-life villain.
Gender: Male Identifying
Age: 30 to 55

Smee
Captain Hook's knockabout lackey. An archetypical evil sidekick, Smee might be a bit rotund and is definitely dwarfed by Hook. Should be portrayed by an actor with physical comedy chops.
Gender: Male Identifying
Age: 25 to 48

Pirates:
The Playhouse is currently seeking to cast a minimum of 5 Male Identifying performers to portray pirates. 

Tiger Lily
A striking Native American princess, Tiger Lily is a tough girl and an excellent dancer. She should command the stage when taking it and move about it as would mist.
Gender: Female Identifying
Age: 14 to Young Adult

Indians:
The Playhouse is currently seeking to cast a minimum of 9 performers to portray Indians. The Playhouse is encouraging performers of color, specifically performers of indigenous backgrounds, to fill these rolls. 

Slightly 
A playful and youthful lost boy. Conceited, knows very little but considers himself knowledgeable about most things.
Gender: Male Identifying
Age: 12 through Young Adult

Tootles
A playful and youthful lost boy. The leader in Peter’s absence. Rather simple but he has a good heart.
Gender: Male Identifying
Age: 12 through Young Adult

Curly
A playful and youthful lost boy. Rather timid but loyal.
Gender: Male Identifying
Age: 12 through Young Adult

Nibs
A playful and youthful lost boy. Extremely jovial, everything is a laugh, and he has a great time.
Gender: Male Identifying
Age: 12 through Young Adult

1st and 2nd Twin
Playful and youthful lost boys. The classic twins.
Gender: Male Identifying
Age: 12 through Young Adult

Jane Darling
Wendy Darling’s daughter. Like Wendy, Jane is compassionate, incredibly loving, and has anticipated Peter Pan’s arrival when he arrives at her window. 
Gender: Female Identifying
Age: 12 through 15

Ensemble:
The Playhouse is currently seeking a large ensemble of teenage and adult performers to portray multiple characters including Pirates, Indians, and Various Animals, including the Darling family dog Nana and the fiercely determined Crocodile.
